Headshots_Trevor_2December is always a crazy month for those of us in media. When others are winding down, we are usually wound up with brand outreach, promotions, and analysis.  Regardless, the holidays are always a time of reflection and intention. How was my 2013? What did I personally do good, bad, and could do better? How did we perform as a company? Were our actions in line with our tuning fork of company values and goals? Then it is the time of intention. What do I want to do, and what do we as a team and company want to be in the year ahead.

In review, I am 100% grateful to work with an amazing and diverse set of clients and agency partners; the success EPMG achieved in 2013 is directly correlated to working with great people and brands.

Secondly, I am proud to say that it is an honor, a privilege, and daily catalyst to work side-by-side with one of the most vibrant teams in the business. Growing from one employee to 50 isn’t always easy or comfortable, but today is a day that I smile with pride knowing that my back is covered with an awesome, passionate and committed group of young professionals.

This year EPMG launched over 50 websites for some of the top Hispanic and black publishers in the country. EPMG Latino is now ranked #17 in comScore and our brand new group of black owned publishers, EPMG United, ranks among other strong brands including, The Root and Huffington Post Black Voices. In September, we won the Top Hispanic Digital Media Innovation Award at the Portada Conference for the second year running. And overall we grew over 25% from 2012.

Earlier this year, we also brought on board two very dynamic pros, Ingrid Reyes and Alex Sanchez, to help lead the charge for EPMG.

We took a stronger approach to charity and rallied the flag and troops by contributing significantly to institutions supporting those affected by Hurricane Sandy, as well as more recently, the tragedy and devastation in the Philippines. In 2014, we aim to adopt the 1/1/1 model of integrated corporate philanthropy, pioneered by Salesforce.com and commit our time, equity and product to benefit the community.

Here’s to wrapping up a great year and starting 2014. In faith, vision and action we are more bullish and excited than ever. Thank you for all of your support – you are truly appreciated.

From ours to yours, we wish you a special, love-filled, abundant holiday and New Year.
