EPMG and LionHeart Digital (LHD), the digital operations division of EPMG, celebrates tremendous growth within its Latino and African-American web platforms.
EPMG Latino is comprised of over 20 Hispanic newspapers online. comScore unified in October 2012, EPMG Latino is now the largest fully disclosed Hispanic newspaper publisher group in the U.S. featuring premium brand newspaper websites such as Hoy, Los Angeles, CA; Al Dia, Dallas, TX; El Tiempo Latino, Washington DC; and El Latino, San Diego, CA.
EPMG Latino’s current comScore audit reports 1.5 million unique visitors as of August 2013 and is already ranked as a top 20 Hispanic ad focused property within comScore.
“The growth of EPMG Latino shows the important role Hispanic newspapers play in the lives of the Latino communities they serve,” said Ginger Neal, president and chief of strategy, LionHeart Digital and senior vice president, EPMG. “Latinos over-index in mobile and other location-based technology. The complete digital solutions that our team at EPMG/LHD delivers now help our newspaper partners serve their community through multiple touch points.”
Expanding on this success, EPMG/LHD launched EPMG United, the country’s largest digital alliance of black newspaper publishers. In this strategy, EPMG has built the web and digital infrastructure from the ground up for over 23 of the top black newspapers in the country. EPMG United now represents the largest fully disclosed newspaper publisher group in the U.S. featuring premium brands and quality publications.
Within three months of launch, EPMG United has a monthly audience of over 2 million unique visitors per Google Analytics. The achievement demonstrates the cultural connection and importance of black newspapers to their community.
“It is more important now than ever that African-American owned and operated news publications make the successful transition to digital in order to remain the community voice of the new digital-savvy generation,” said Brian Morrison, director of national sales, EPMG. “The incredible growth of EPMG United’s audience in only a few months is evidence that African-Americans are responsive to culturally-relevant digital content that speaks to the community issues that are important to them.”
